Scope
We have the pleasure to invite you to the "Fifth edition of the International Workshop on Materials for Heavy Liquid Metal cooled Reactors and Related Technologies".
Over the past editions — Karlsruhe 1999, Brasimone 2001, Rome 2003, Rome 2007 — this workshop has become one of the most important forum for scientific and technological discussion on heavy liquid metals for nuclear applications. The workshop provides a great opportunity to share knowledge and insight on the Heavy Liquid Metal technologies for nuclear applications, promoting the exchange of scientific results obtained in different laboratories and R&D programmes, thus encouraging the creation of synergies among the scientists operating in the field.
In order to reflect intensifying interests in heavy liquid metal coolants around the world, two closely coordinated workshops - supported by the VELLA initiative - will be held as follows:
Part I. HeLiMeRT in Europe: SCK•CEN, Mol, Belgium on April 20-22, 2009
Part II. HeLiMeRT in Asia: Jeju, Korea on May 18-20, 2009
