This conference is the seventh in a series of topical meetings dealing with the nuclear fission process. The conference will be mainly devoted to new experimental and theoretical achievements in low-energy fission. Attention will also be given to developments in the field of detectors and new facilities, and to the importance of nuclear fission for nuclear waste transmutation.
